To find out the total m2 - multiply the length and width and this will give you the total m2 i.e. 6 x 3 = 18 m2
You will now add 10% to allow for wastage. You will multiply the total m2 and 10% wastage i.e. 18m2 x 1.1 = 19.8(you will round up to the nearest whole number i.e 20)
You will now have the total square metre and ready to work how much matting is required – go to step 2
Step 2 - Flexitec 2020 Matting Fibreglass
Show to work out how much Flexitec matting is required?
Available in 225g rolls of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 120
You would choose the relevant roll required i.e. 20 m2 you would choose 20 m2 roll
You will now work out how much primer is required. Go to step 3
Step 3 - Flexitec 2020 Flexitec Taping Mat
How to work out how much Tape matting is required?
Rolls of 27 and 110 linear metres (LM)
Taping is used for reinforcing OSB and joints
You will multiply the total (m2) by 1.25 (LM) i.e. 20 m2 x 1.25 =25 (LM) therefore 1 roll of 27 LM will be required. You will now work out how much primer is required. Go to step 4
Step 4 – Flexitec Primer
How to find out the amount of primer required?
Standard – 2.5kg
Standard – 5kg
Metal – 4kg
You will choose the relevant substrate and coverage (kg/m2) from the list below and calculate the amount of primer required
You will multiply the total square metre (m2) by the substrate coverage to find out the amount of primer required i.e. if the customer’s substrate is ‘asphaltic – smooth – 0.19 kg/m2’ i.e 20 m2 x 0.19 = 3.8. You will then select the correct size tins from the left-hand side of the chart and workout how many tins are required. Go to step 5

Step 5 - Flexitec 2020 Resin
How to find out the amount of resin required?
Light Grey – 10kg
Dark Grey – 10kg
Light Grey – 20kg
Dark Grey – 20kg
You will choose the relevant substrate and coverage (always kg/m2) from the list below and calculate the amount of resin required. Remember 1st coat 10-year life expectancy and 2nd coat 20 year guarantee
10 Year Guarantee- you will multiply the total m2 by the substrate coverage to find out the amount of resin required i.e. the customer’s substrate is ‘asphaltic – smooth – 1.2 kg/m2’ i.e 20 m2 x 1.2 = 24
20 Year Guarantee - you will add the 1st coat and 2nd coat kg together i.e 1.2kg + 0.7kg = 1.9g. You will then multiply the total 1.9 against the 20 m2 = 38 (kg)
You will then select the correct size tins from the left-hand side of the chart
You will now workout Hardener Go to step 6

Step 6 - Flexitec 2020 Hardener
Hardener is a 1 KG tubApprox. 60 scoops per tub
Resin
Primer
You will add the total liquid weight of the primer and resin together and multiply against the temperature range (2% or 3% or 4%) to find out the number of tubs required i.e. 3.8 (Primer) + 38 (Resin) = 41.8 x 3% = 1.254, you round up to the nearest tub therefore, 2 tubs will be required

Primer 5kg – 1 x Flexitec primer accelerator
Resin 10kg – 1 x Flexitec resin accelerator
